Ocean Conservation
Plastic Wave
Every aninu sponsorship means more than a GPS tracker. For each completed sponsorship, 1 kg of plastic is removed from the ocean — through Plastic Wave, an ocean clean-up initiative in Bali.

Ocean Clean-up in Bali
What is Plastic Wave?
Plastic Wave is an initiative focused on cleaning oceans and beaches in Bali — one of the places most affected by marine plastic worldwide. Local teams collect, document and dispose of plastic waste directly on site.
We at aninu decided to make the environmental impact concrete: instead of an abstract donation, each sponsorship delivers a measurable result — 1 kg less plastic in the ocean.
plastic-wave.com →What does 1 kg of plastic mean?
1 kg of plastic sounds small — in Bali, it makes a real difference. Currents and rivers wash tonnes of waste onto the coastlines every day. Plastic Wave's teams work directly on site, continuously along the coast and in shallow water.
With every sponsorship you help this work continue — one animal on the map, one kilo less in the ocean.
Why Bali?
One of the most affected coastal regions
Indonesia is one of the largest sources of marine plastic worldwide. Bali is particularly affected — tourism, rivers and ocean currents cause plastic waste to accumulate on the beaches.
High Demand
Indonesia is the second largest source of marine plastic after China. Bali's beaches are affected daily.
Local Teams
Clean-up teams come from the region. This creates local jobs and ensures continuous presence.
Direct Impact for Marine Animals
Many of the animals adopted through aninu live in the same waters that Plastic Wave cleans.
