Did you know?
Lion up close.
8 kilometres far
A lion's roar can be heard up to 8 kilometres away — synchronising the pride during hunts and defence.
The only social big cat
Lions are the only big cats that live in groups — with fixed roles, cooperation, and mutual grooming.
80% have vanished
Since 1950, the lion population in Africa has declined by over 80%. Only around 20,000 animals remain in the wild.
Follow your lion every day.
Currently roaming: Tanzania, East Africa. As a sponsor you see exactly where your animal is every day.
Choose adoption →Your impact
Your adoption protects the king of the savanna — and helps preserve African wilderness for future generations.
1 kg less plastic
For every adoption, 1 kg of plastic is removed from the ocean — through our partnership with Plastic Wave in Bali. No time limit, no subscription.
