About pandas
Why pandas need our protection
14 hours of eating
Giant pandas eat for up to 14 hours a day — up to 38 kg of bamboo. Their digestive system is that of a carnivore.
Key to biodiversity
Panda reserves protect forests that are home to hundreds of other endangered species — the panda as an umbrella for all.
A comeback story
Around 1,800 giant pandas still live in the wild — and their numbers are growing thanks to international conservation programmes.

FAQ
Adopting a panda — questions
How do I adopt a panda?
Pick your animal on aninu.de, give it a name, pay €24.99 once. You'll get the certificate and GPS tracking access in the aninu app instantly. No subscription, no contract.
Does the GPS tracking really work live?
In the aninu app you see your animal's position on the map. It is updated every day, and you also see the route your animal has travelled.
How is this different from WWF, NABU, or Geschenkbaum?
Classic wildlife sponsorships = donation + certificate, no specific animal. aninu = you adopt a specific panda, name it, follow it via GPS. No subscription, one-time €24.99. Geschenkbaum has no GPS tracking.
Can I gift a panda adoption?
Yes. You'll get a digital certificate as PDF instantly — print it or forward by email. One of the most-given gifts at aninu: personal, sustainable, no physical shipping needed.
